Booking Information - Fees and Payments
Our fees are available on request and prices vary according to event, audience, and location.
We aim to provide excellent value for money. Individual players are not paid for their role in the band, payment supports the running of the band, costs include music, insurance and rehearsal facilities.
We will always provide a quote before the event. Please advise if you require a formal invoice. We accept cash, cheque or bank transfer. Cheques should be made payable to Lutterworth Town Band. Bank details are available on request.
Refreshments are very welcome although not a requirement.
Playing Time
Our standard playing time is 2 x 45 minutes with a 30 minute break. However we are happy to discuss other options to suit your event.
Music
Our programme usually incorporates a mix of music such as items composed for brass bands along with arrangements of pop songs, songs from musicals, film themes, classical and such like. We try to accommodate special requests but need a minimum of one month's preparation time if we have the music or longer if we need to source the music. We cannot guarantee to meet all requests, it is dependant on availability of music and within the capabilities of the band.
Space Required
The number of players will vary according to availability of our members but will average around 25. As a minimum for this number we need an area of 6 metres x 6 metres which ideally should be covered. Chairs without arms are required and somewhere to leave our instrument cases is needed.
Parking
Most band members will arrive by car and would appreciate information on parking. Easy vehicle access and some parking places near to the playing location would be appreciated for those with large instruments and blue badge holders.
Bad/Hot weather
It is generally helpful to have wet weather contingency plans in place for where the band will be playing. We need shelter to play in the rain to save the music getting ruined. Similarly it is useful have a hot weather plan, as shade will be needed to play in particularly hot or sunny weather.
Cancellation Policy
There will be no charge if the event is cancelled up to 4 hours before the start time. We will make a cancellation charge of half the agreed fee if the performance is cancelled within the 4 hours of start time.
